Vung Vieng fishing village
Vung Vieng Fishing Village is a long-established fishing community with a history spanning hundreds of years. In the past, it was a thriving floating village with its own school, medical station, local administrative office, and other community facilities.

Over time, government initiatives encouraged families to move children and elderly residents ashore so they could benefit from better access to education, healthcare, and social services. Today, a number of fishermen still live and work in the village. They row traditional bamboo boats to take visitors around the village, fish in the surrounding waters, and cultivate pearls in the bay.
Recognized by travel publications as one of the 16 most beautiful fishing villages in the world, Vung Vieng offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience the authentic lifestyle of fishermen living amidst the stunning heritage bay. Here, simple floating homes, a minimalist way of life, loyal dogs as beloved companions, and the enduring spirit of traditional Northern Vietnamese village culture come together to create a truly unique and unforgettable destination.
